When reviewing data in the report manager you may filter/segment your report by a particular competitor meeting certain criteria.

This criteria can be:
  • To only list your items the specific competitor owns the Buy Box on.
  • Is a top 3 featured seller for the item.
  • Is listed as a seller on the secondary “New & Used” page (although only new condition pricing will be reviewed)
  • Is selling the item anywhere for any price.
  • Is presently not selling the item or is out of stock on the item.
  • Is taking backorders for the item and is in the top 3 featured status or buy box owner.
  • Is beating your delivered price for the item.
When using segmentation on reporting, it is a combined filtering list. Which means if you select to view only when Competitor: “Amazon.com” is “beating my delivered price” and click display, the list displayed may differ from making that same selection as well as additionally selecting Items in Category “Sports” which would then apply both filters to the result set and only list items matching both criteria.

Segmentation and filtering can be very beneficial to your market analysis, just keep in mind the filters can be stacked as described above.
