More about floors

There is still some confusion concerning floors, how they are used and why:
Floor or the “working floor” directs the repricing engine as to a price lowering limit you have in place.
There are several ways to direct how we use and interpret your floors.
- 1. You send us (in feed) an exact dollar amount (or manual via item edit), this is called a static floor. We can use this in two ways:
- A. As a "Cost" which we will then add Amazon's current referral fee for the category the item is presently in to create a "Working Floor"
- B. As a "Working Floor" already, you have added any additional amounts already to make this the minimum selling amount.
- Either way (A,B) we can also add an additional percent to cover costs, fees, etc. to create the “Working Floor”
- 2. You do not send us any pricing at all, and let us calculate the "Floor" / ”Working Floor” based on a percentage of your current selling price. This is called a "Dynamic Floor" When using dynamic floors, we can generate a new floor each and every time we review your item, thereby allowing your floor to continually adjust itself, or we can internally "Save" the floor value we calculate the very first time we review the item for you (Recommended if using dynamic floors) and that amount will be the "Floor" going forward until you:
- A. Delete the item from our system.
- B. Manually change the floor.
One a “Working Floor” is established above, we give you the option of telling our system how to use the “Working Floor” when evaluating it. Either as a “Delivered price” evaluation or as a “Product price” evaluation. In most cases, “Product Price” is how you will want to use this and is the default recommended method. “Floor evaluation with your delivered price” not checked, otherwise if checked it allows the system to go below the floor amount up to the amount of your current shipping (Delivered Price Evaluation).
If you ever see an optimum price lower than your floor, it is due to this setting and can be changed here.
